Cycling

With the number of people cycling to and from work increasing, we are facilitating this with the development providing 30 on-site cycle parking spaces and separate locker spaces. A further 60 cycle parking spaces are also available in the vicinity of the Portland Building site, whilst 8 spaces are to be installed to the front of the building for your visitors.

Additionally rental bikes are available from the Beryl company under the BTN Bikes scheme, who have a bike parking station in the vicinity of the site on North Street, by the corner with Portland Street.

National Cycle Network (NCN) route 20 is accessible at the eastern end of Church Street which runs northwards through to ‘The Level’ where route 20 branches off to the north-west and runs through Preston Park, Withdean and Patcham. Taking NCN route 20 south from Church Street takes you to the seafront where it connects with NCN route 2 which runs along the coast. Additionally, at ‘the Level’ a regional cycle route begins and heads to the north-east into Lewes.
